Veterinarska fakulteta 

je izobraževalni in znanstvenoraziskovalni zavod in je članica Univerze v Ljubljani. Skladno z Zakonom o visokem šolstvu, Odlokom o preoblikovanju Univerze v Ljubljani, Statutom UL in Pravili o notranji organiziranost in delu VF, izvaja nacionalni program visokega šolstva na področju veterinarstva, nacionalni raziskovalni in razvojni program ter drugo izobraževalno, raziskovalno, razvojno, svetovalno in drugo s to dejavnostjo povezano delo. VF izvaja en dodiplomski in dva podiplomska študijska programa, in sicer:   

  • Enoviti magistrski študijski program 2. stopnje Veterinarstvo   
  • Podiplomsko izobraževanje na matičnem področju v okviru univerzitetnega študija Biomedicina in Varstvo okolja.

VF izvaja tudi vrhunsko diagnostično dejavnost Nacionalnega veterinarskega inštituta.

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA)

is an association of associations. Its membership is made up of veterinary organisations from all over the world, which are concerned with companion animals. Currently there are 101 member associations globally, representing almost 200,000 individual veterinarians from around the globe.

WSAVA's primary purpose is to advance the quality and availability of small animal medicine and surgery, creating a unified standard of care for the benefit of animals and humankind. As “Global Veterinary Community” is our tagline, being a part of WSAVA also creates a space in which we can help each other and to generate a “One global voice” from the veterinary profession to contribute to the world.

FECAVA, Europe’s community of companion animal veterinarians

Through its member associations, the Federation of Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA) represents more than 25,000 companion animal veterinarians in 40 European countries. FECAVA strives to improve the veterinary care of pets through professional development. It also provides a voice for companion animal issues at European level and works closely with other European veterinary organisations and stakeholders. FECAVA is strongly committed to topics such as One Health, animal welfare, the human-animal bond, continuing education, antimicrobial resistance and the availability of medicines.
